Well, it took a lot longer than the majority of the projections indicated it would but Bryce Lance got the call from New Orleans to begin his professional efforts. To be honest, it's going to be impossible to divorce my opinion of the city from my regard for this outcome because the state and the city to a greater degree are a dirty, humid swamp which really doesn't do much to mask it's shortcomings. I could go into detail about how gross New Orleans was but I don't feel like making you feel queasy.

And that's before considering the sorry state of the franchise. They might have a quarterback, it's certainly not as sure of a thing as it was during the Brees era but overall they seem to be one of the organizations in a constant rebuild since the days of the Bounty Cheats.

So yes, overall it's a negative situation for Bryce Lance to be entering into. The upside is that the NFC South is often amongst the worst in the League so adding a talent like Lance in the fourth round can help NOLA move up from the gutter to at least become an average operation.

For those who saw him come up in Fargo and those who want to see the sorts of electric things he can do on the field, here are the highlights

Selection Grade: A

At the end of the day, he'll have a chance to not only make the roster but get meaningful snaps as a rookie. What happens beyond that is crystal ball guessing but his opportunity succeed couldn't be much better, unrelated to everything else.
