Uncertainty at the quarterback position, the turnover in the front office and the salary cap limitations made it as challenging as ever to be excited about this offseason, including the pinnacle of it - the draft.
But then came Kyler Murray and more contract wizardry by Brzezinski to make the upcoming season less bleak.
And now we have reached the pinnacle of the offseason! It's finally time to see who will end up with each of the franchises
Friday and Saturday are likely to include the landing spots for the latest best of the Bison and we'll see what the computer has to say about that one last time.
But first, here is last week's edition.
Now onto the new one!
Pick 18 brought a trade proposal from Philly for it and 97 for 23 & 54. As value goes, it's reasonable. And perhaps Kenyon Sadiq would last through those picks but no one outside the facility knows how Brzezinski will approach the weekend so short of a home run offer, sticking and picking was the preference.
At 49 Buffalo came calling with 91 & a pair of 2027 day 2 selections but the present trumps the future and it's essential that the team find an understudy, if not a possible replacement, for Harrison Smith. Dillon Thieneman is the most common name attached to that but LSU's AJ Haulcy could be in the mix Friday.
In the event that Brian Flores makes a winning case for another wildcard for the defense, Jacob Rodriguez (Texas Tech) is another possibility.
I opted for the Tiger
82 saw Miami offer 90 & 130 for the 196 - a fair possibility save for the chance to add another second round-level player, Lee Hunter (DT, Texas Tech)
For 97 New England offered 125 & a fourth next year but with the long wait before they are back on the clock as things stands, this is as crucial a selection as any they will make. In this case, Texas corner Malik Muhammed provided more than the Championship losers.
Back in action at 163, the team will likely look to address whatever area remains the greatest need. Absent a center prospect to get into the system, running back would be that if things unfold as they have in this simulation. The consensus board has Kaelon Black & Le'veon Moss as the top options. Moss seems like a better chance of fitting.
Adding another option for the starting quarterback presented itself at 196 in the form of Jeff Caldwell. More speed and size will only help unlock what KO envisions for the 2026 squad!
It appears as though late-round center possibility Delby Lemieux's stock has dropped to undrafted which could mean a bit more freedom to attack probabilities that the team doesn't want to have to negotiate for OR they could just trash those projections and make Lemmy a selection. That can wait for the last pick of the weekend but at 234 I opted to double-down on potential heirs for the Hitman, this time going with Ohio St. speedster Lorenzo Styles.
I followed that with another possible element for the mad scientist, LB Eric Gentry and closed it out with the aforementioned center at 244.
To boil it all down, here's what the final seven-round looked like:

As for the locals
Bryce Lance was pegged to take passes from Matt Stafford while Cole Payton got a projection at 172 to New Orleans. Cole Wisniewski & Jack Strand were undrafted. The maximum for the locals is five getting called before the free agency frenzy, with the floor being Lance & Payton. If Barika Kpeenu joins the others to hit the high five then it would become thee mark for all future classes to try and clear!
Superb way to strut into the Mountain West however you slice it.
But one more thing
Here goes a shot at nailing all of the picks today (no trades included)

So obviously I don't agree with how the simulator sees it going for the beast of a tight-end but the wildness of the evening is what makes it such a must-watch!
So all that's left is everything
