Uncertainty at the quarterback position, the turnover in the front office and the salary cap limitations made it as challenging as ever to be excited about this offseason, including the pinnacle of it - the draft.

But then came Kyler Murray and more contract wizardry by Brzezinski to make the upcoming season less bleak.

So with only a few weeks remaining until the names start getting announced, let's get into who may end up donning the royal colors!

And as a bonus we'll get to see some possible landing spots for the latest best of the Bison.

So the let's keep the mock drafting going!

Now onto the new one

In a twist, the likes of which gets us so excited to watch names get called off over three days, a potential top-10 selection slid to the 18th but only "Tennessee" offered a trade package and none of the incoming selections were in the first round so that was a loser. If Jonathon Greenard is dealt during Draft week then a Sonny Styles selection would be more fitting. Without that piece of the puzzle it would be more clutter alongside Van Ginkle & Dallas Turner.

So instead Avieon Terrell (CB, Clemson) & Kayden McDonald (DT, Ohio St.) were the preferred options. It's been said many times that this year is deep with defensive lineman so I opted for the Tiger to bring some ferocity to the back-end of the defense.

It would also fall under the category of a vanity pick with two top tackles already on the roster but with Brian O'Neill's long-term future a little murky the chance to add his successor in this draft class isn't out of the question. Blake Miller lasting til the 49th pick leads to the topic but with San Diego offering the 55 & a third round pick next April the decision had to wait a little more.

Instead it came down to Eli Stowers (TE, Vandy), AJ Haulcy (S, LSU) or Jadarian Price (RB, Notre Dame). There may not be a wrong choice in that bunch but an elite tight-end has been missing for many years so for Murray, Wentz & McCarthy it makes too much sense to not add Hockenson's replacement.

The choice to by-pass the Golden Domer could pay-off in the form of Mike Washington (RB, Arkansas). Good size, good production on the ground and serviceable through the air make him an option to keep in mind in the third round with the multiple picks that Minnesota has.

That also applies to Domonique Orange (DT, Iowa St.) & Bryce Lance (WR, NDSU). Any of the three could be in play as Friday unfolds.

It's been far too long since the down-lineman portion of the defensive front has been trouble for offenses so in an effort to rectify that - and knowing that running backs and receivers are easier to find - the Orange is going Purple.

In a fortunate twist, the Bison kept on roaming until pick 97, making Lance an easy choice.

Center & safety have been and continue to be a top need for the roster but the 163rd pick provided no options for those holes so instead, more competition in the DB room - Devon Marshall (CB, NC St.)

When it comes to the 200s every pick is a scratch-off lottery ticket. Domani Jones (CB, Alabama) has some growing-up to do but already has the physical ability to be a winner for Flores in the future.

With back-to-back picks in the seventh it came down to a handful of receivers and a local safety. CJ Daniels (Miami) can add to the competition behind Jefferson & Addison while Cole Wisniewski could show the acumen which made him one of the nation's top safeties.

Which just leaves the center position unaddressed. So how about a small-school athlete to develop as a possible long-term option? That worked pretty well with Matt Birk. Delby Lemieux could be the latest Ivy League gold, if Brandel & Jurgens are able to do enough in the interim.

Cole Payton was projected to go in the sixth round to New Orleans.

Jack Strand didn't get simulated to any of the selections.
